The Back to the Future Trilogy to Return to the Big Screen for Its 30th Anniversary
2015 is a huge year for Back to the Future. July 3 was the 30th anniversary of the film's 1985 release, and October 21, 2015 is Back to the Future Day, as it was the date featured in the time traveling hijinks of the second film. Naturally, a Blu-Ray set of the films and animated series has already been announced to come out on October 21, but now it seems that Back to the Future Day will revive the films on the big screen as well.

According to a press release (via Screenrant), all three films will play back-to-back in theaters on October 21, along with the Blu-Ray release. If you can't wait that long, the films are also playing on AMC all weekend, starting at 11 am on Saturday and leading up to an all-new episode of Humans on Sunday night.

We suggest that all Back to the Future fans buy tickets whenever they go on sale, since this is the closest thing to a reboot we're ever going to get. But if you're not going to catch the theatrical re-release, then you should definitely watch it on TV or home media, if only to see how well Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale's version of 2015 mirrors the reality.
