New Walking Dead Concept Art Reveals Disgusting Decomposed Zombies for Season Six
Fear the Walking Dead may show us walkers at the very beginning of their afterlives, when they look very much like normal humans, but The Walking Dead has always shown us walkers in varying stages of stomach-churning decomposition. The producers have been very clear that the decomposition of the walkers is increasing with every passing season, which makes sense, as walkers are just animated dead bodies walking around in the sweltering Atlanta heat. I especially noticed it this last season, most memorably when a horde of walkers was gruesomely dispatched with nothing more than a powerful stream of water. Now, EP and master make-up artist Greg Nicotero has shared photos of the new season six walkers, and they're worse for the wear, to say the least:

From the above photo, we can only assume that the Walking Dead will eventually show walkers as little more than skeletons, at least if it keeps beating the Super Bowl in the ratings for a few more seasons.

And here's some of that trademark Walking Dead borderline unnecessary gore:

That's an image. Although various factions of humans have presented themselves as the Big Bads of the last few seasons, most recently the Wolves, it seems that we'll still have plenty of zombie gore to go around, especially since this season will have more walkers than any other season before it.

The Walking Dead returns for its sixth season on October 11 at 9pm on AMC.
