Chloe Bennet Says Skye Embraces Superhero Identity in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3
Last season, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. changed the game in a big way when Skye, played by Chloe Bennet, was revealed to be Marvel Comics hero Daisy Johnson, aka Quake. While the latter half of the season saw Skye coming to terms with her superhuman (Inhuman) abilities, Bennet told BWW at San Diego Comic Con that in season three, Skye will fully embrace her identity as Daisy:

Opening quote
"I can confirm that this season I will referred to Daisy in all things, my trailer says Daisy, my script says Daisy. You will definitely see an evolution there. Right now, we are recruiting Inhumans, and there has been news about the Secret Warriors. So people are pretty excited about it."

The Secret Warriors' arrival on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was announced last month, and fans were overjoyed, but none too surprised after the Daisy Johnson reveal. In the comics, the Secret Warriors were a group of secret agents who carried out special missions for S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury. But unlike normal S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, the Secret Warriors all had special abilities, ranging from super speed to super strength. Daisy Johnson is one of the founding members and leaders, and now that Skye is letting her Inhuman flag fly, it's a perfect time for her to form her own superhuman subsection of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Bennet also discussed her character's emotional arc over the next season, especially in the wake of her mother's death and her father's memory loss:

Opening quote
"I thought the first season was traumatic, and then obviously the second season everything she's talked about since we've met Skye; her whole goal in life was to meet her parents. Then she met them and it was worse and even more screwed up then she can even imagine. Having your Mom try to kill you probably doesn't sit well in your psyche. I think she needs some serious therapy sessions. We don't know anything about Season 3, but I'd like to think that she's extra determined. Right now she's done, she knows everything about herself, she knows where she came from, she knows her family, and so now it's going to be about – being truly embracing that."
Closing quote

And finally, just in case we weren't sure she was really going to transform into Daisy this season, Bennet released a video in which she's getting ready to chop off her hair to look more like the comics version of Daisy Johnson:
