Preview Pages: Heroes Reborn Gets a Comic Prelude in Heroes Vengeance #1
Heroes Reborn really, really wants to fill in the blanks for us. We already have a prequel digital series, Dark Matters (which you can watch in its entirety here), and now we have a preview of the comic "prelude" Heroes Vengeance from Titan Comics, which will serve as an origin story for one of the new characters.

Heroes Reborn Comics Prelude 'Heroes Vengeance #1'

The series will consist of five issues, and will be written by Heroes Reborn supervising producer Seamus Fahey, also known for his work on Battlestar Galactica, and Heroes executive producer Zach Craley, who also wrote the scripts for Dark Matters.

Opening quote
"Our new Heroes series is being created in close collaboration with the team behind the NBC show," said Chris Teather, Titan Comics's publishing director, when the series was first announced. "These aren't just comics; they're bonus episodes!"
Closing quote

It's unclear which character will be highlighted in the series; we would say Zachary Levi's Luke, since we've arguably seen the most from his character, but he will reportedly play a character without "Evo" abilities, so there wouldn't be much need for an origin story. But then again, the series is called "Heroes Vengeance," and Levi's character is an anti-Evo vigilante who is trying to avenge a loved one, so perhaps that evil-looking Evo is the cause of Luke's prejudice.

Heroes Reborn stars Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Gatlin Green, Henry Zebrowski, Judith Shekoni, Danika Yarosh and Rya Kihlstedt as new characters in the Heroes universe, and also sees the return of Jack Coleman as Noah Bennet aka HRG, Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura, Noah Gray-Cabey as Micah Sanders, Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman, Jimmy Jean-Louis as The Haitian, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Mohinder Suresh, and Cristine Rose as Angela Petrelli. The show is billed as a 13-episode miniseries, but there is potential for further seasons if it performs well. It will premiere on NBC in a two-hour event on September 24.
