First Official Image from Daredevil Season Two Reveals New Costume
We've seen a few unofficial set photos from Daredevil season two, but so far the runaway hit has remained fairly mum since production on its sophomore season began. Now, the show's official Twitter account has just released the first photo, and it reveals Daredevil's slightly modified costume:

There are no huge changes, such as the infamous "DD" symbol on the chest that appears in the comics, but this would likely be too cartoonish for the show's aesthetic anyway. It looks like there are small alterations, however, like the cowl with the black forehead rather than an entirely red mask with black accents.

The season will see the debut of Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle aka Punisher, described by Marvel as "a vigilante who aims to clean up New York City's Hell's Kitchen by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results." And if the first set photos of Bernthal are any indication, he won't waste any time getting to the punishment.

We don't have any plot details yet, but the season is informally called "Daredevil vs. Punisher," which may mean that the plot loosely follows the comics arc Daredevil vs Punisher: Means and Ends. It will also feature Elodie Yung as Elektra and an as-yet-unnamed actor as Bullseye, and considering the history between those two characters, there will probably be another iconic Marvel comics to look forward to (which will hopefully be handled more tastefully than it was in the 2003 film).

Marvel/Netflix's Daredevil season two is set for release sometime in 2016, after the first season of Jessica Jones later this year. Luke Cage will also air in 2016, followed by Iron Fist and a Defenders miniseries.
