New Marvel Film Rumored to Star Blade's Daughter, Fallon Grey
There have been persistent rumors about Blade returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for months now, usually in the form of a Netflix series. But now, the newest rumor contends that the vampire hunter will be adapted into another film, but rather than following Blade himself, it will follow his daughter, Fallon Grey, who will also be the central character in the new Blade comics series.

The new Blade series starring Fallon Grey was announced at San Diego Comic Con, but the launch was recently delayed from October to an unspecified date. According to Bleeding Cool's "well-connected sources," the delay was the result of Marvel higher-ups wanting a greater level of control over the development of the character, as they are planning on using her in their Blade sequel.

This report isn't necessarily at odds with previous rumors, aside from the Netflix series/film distinction; Wesley Snipes was rumored to return as the title character, and he confirmed that he had met with Marvel about returning to the fold, but that could still happen in a Fallon Grey film. If they're delaying the comics in order to have creative control, it's likely that the film will adhere closely to the comics, and Fallon's father has a significant role in the plot. So Snipes could still return, but would play co-lead rather than lead.

Here's the official synopsis for the upcoming Blade comic series:
