Something Big Is Coming in Two New Promos for Heroes Reborn
NBC has just released two new promos for Heroes Reborn, and they preview a "catastrophic event" that will make the world believe in the Heroes again:

If utopia and dystopia are two sides of the same coin, this is the dystopian side. This promo focuses on the persecution of the Evos, as they're "forced into exile"; after some kind of mass death in the "June 13" event in Odessa, all of our Heroes are either in hiding or dead.

But this promo also previews the means by which the Evos could eventually be accepted by society again, as they're "here to save us" from a "catastrophic event." We don't know what that catastrophic event is yet (although we have a few guesses), but this promo guarantees that "something big is coming."

This promo is much more optimistic, even as it drops huge hints as to what that "something big" might be. It focuses on the other side of the superhero narrative, in which seemingly ordinary people get to become extraordinary, make a difference, and change the world.

But it also shows Danika Yarosh's character battling with what looks like a black hole surrounded by auroras, and we're guessing that the black hole will threaten to swallow the world, or something similar. That would be pretty big.

The official synopsis for Heroes Reborn reads:

Opening quote
The saga behind the 2006 breakout series "Heroes" will continue this fall as creator Tim Kring returns to the fold and develops new layers to his original superhero concept. This highly anticipated 13-episode event series will reconnect with the basic elements of the show's first season, where ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities.

Heroes Reborn premieres with a two-hour event on September 24 on NBC.
