Everything We Know About Spider-Man in Marvel's Captain America: Civil War
Forget Iron Man squaring off against Captain America, the most exciting thing about Captain America: Civil War is the debut of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of Spider-Man. The web-slinger has yet to see a version of himself in the movies that serves as an accurate representation of the character, but the newest incarnation will supposedly be the most faithful to the source material we've ever seen. So what should we expect from him in Civil War? Here's what we know so far.

He's actually Teenager

In case the casting of actual teen Tom Holland wasn't a dead giveaway, this is going to be the youngest Spidey we've ever seen in a movie. Holland is 19, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has said the new Spidey will be 15 or 16 years old. In other words, there won't be any skateboarding 30-somethings in this movie.

He'll Probably Have Two Costumes

Rumors suggest that Spidey's first suit will be of the homemade, pajama-based variety, and that Tony Stark will give him the familiar red and blue costume. This fits in with the MCU's expansion of Stark's importance (like making him the creator of Ultron), since he is their most popular character thanks to the world's highest-paid actor, Robert Downey, Jr.

Stark May Make His Webshooters

According to a new report from Latino Review, Stark will create Spider-Man's famous webshooters and gift them to Peter Parker. This is sure to cause controversy with fans if true, since Parker is supposed to invent the webshooters himself, but it still beats the organic webshooters featured in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies. We should also note that this rumor comes from the same site that declared Asa Butterfield had been cast as Parker back in May, so take that for what it's worth.

He'll Have a Fight Scene, and It Might Be Dorky

Spidey is all but confirmed to have at least one fight scene in the movie, with reports suggesting it will stand out as a "dorky" fight scene that's significantly different from what we're seeing from superhero movies. This has us very excited, especially if it's against rumored opponent Captain America.

He's Likely Siding With Stark

All of the rumors about Stark helping out Spidey probably have some truth to them, as many outlets are reporting that the webhead will side with Iron Man in the battle over superhero registration. In the comics' Civil War storyline, Spidey sides with Iron Man initially before switching sides, but so far we have no proof of a similar situation in the movie.

We Might See His Home Life

Supposedly the film contains a set depicting Peter Parker's bedroom, and Marisa Tomei may make her debut as Aunt Mae in the film. All of this adds up to the belief that Spidey's appearance in the film is more significant than initially believed.

He Has Multiple Scenes

As you've probably guessed by now, Spidey's got a fair amount of screentime in Civil War. After initial reports in July reported that Holland had already filmed his "cameo" for the film, more reports came in involving action scenes filmed with Spider-Man played by a stunt double. Then, in August, Holland flew to Germany to reportedly film a big action sequence with most of the rest of the cast. So it sounds to us like Spider-Man is a big part of Captain America: Civil War. Let's hope they don't screw it up.
