New Promo for The Flash Season 2 Reveals Jay Garrick and Atom Smasher
We're still waiting for our first full trailer for Season 2 of The Flash, but instead we're being teased once more by The CW who have released a new promo for their hit show. Unlike other promos for The Flash's sophomore season, this particular video actually teases a bunch of new footage as well as a couple of the characters who are expected to be big players this season. Atom Smasher has already been revealed in previous promos, but we get a better look at the infamous DC Comics villain who is played by former WWE star Adam Copeland aka Edge.

The other big reveal from the trailer is, of course, Jay Garrick. We knew 'the other Flash' would be playing a major role in the show, but this is the first time we've been given an idea over what that role might be. If the trailer is anything to go by, it could be that Garrick plays some form of advisory role for Barry and the gang. Is that weird Flash signal a way for the two Flashes to communicate?

Created back in 1940, Jay Garrick was the first man to take up the mantle of The Flash, with Barry Allen following in his footsteps in the mid 50's. But there's one other Flash that hasn't been revealed yet. Played by Keiynan Lonsdale, Wally West (the third Flash) will be appearing at some point in the show's second season. This 'multi-Flash' approach has all been made possible by Barry's creation of a singularity, which opened up a portal to other dimensions. As the promo teases, access to new worlds means access to new villains.

In other The Flash news, one of the show's producers today appeared to confirm that season 1 villain, Harrison Wells will return to the show. Speaking to TV Line, Gabrielle Stanton said that, while Wells will return, he'll be very different to the man we saw last season.

Opening quote
Harrison Wells will be back, but he's going to be a very different Harrison Wells than we've seen before…We've got other worlds. We've got other timelines. All I'm going to say is he's from one of those places.
