The X-Files Revival Series Will Have Its US Premiere at New York Comic Con
Mulder and Scully will be back together again much sooner than we thought. The X-Files revival miniseries will have its world premiere at MIPCOM in Cannes, France on Tuesday, October 6, but for those of you who are U.S.-bound, the American debut will be at New York Comic Con just a few days later, on Saturday, October 10.

Series creator Chris Carter will introduce the first episode at the NYCC screening, and will be joined by returning star David Duchovny for a panel and Q&A after the screening. As of now, Saturday tickets for NYCC are already sold out, but for those of you who already have tickets, you'll be able to see the truth that's out there months in advance.

This could only be made complete by Gillian Anderson's presence, and we're sorely disappointed that she won't be there, but seeing the first episode would be amazing on its own. The premiere episode is called "My Struggle" (it's unclear whether the weird Hitler associations are intentional), and will feature The Americans star Annet Mahendru as an alleged UFO abductee.

The miniseries will reportedly include both mythology and monster-of-the-week episodes, and will resolve unanswered questions from the original series, such as the forces behind Scully's abduction in the second season. In addition to returning stars Duchovny and Anderson, the series will see the return of supporting players Mitch Pileggi as AD Skinner, William B. Davis as The Smoking Man, Annabeth Gish as Monica Reyes, and Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Bruce Harwood as the (apparently alive) Lone Gunmen.

After its premiere at MIPCOM and NYCC, the X-Files miniseries will be available for everyone to see on January 24, 2016 on Fox.
