Fan-Made Trailer Sees Emma Stone as Spider-Gwen
It's no big secret that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a little short in the female superhero department. Sure, Black Widow is an Avenger and Gamora is a Guardian of the Galaxy, but we still have to wait all the way until Captain Marvel debuts in November of 2018 before a female hero gets her own movie. That is, unless, Spider-Gwen beats her to it.

In a slick-new trailer put together by New York Magazine, Emma Watson reprises her role of Gwen Stacy from the Amazing Spider-Man movies, but takes it to the next level by also taking on Gwen's relatively new alter-ego from the comics, Spider-Gwen. The trailer mixes in footage from both Amazing Spider-Man movies, the original Spider-Man, Birdman, and Easy A for some reason. Michael Keaton's Birman appears as the villainous Vulture in the trailer, while Dennis Leary reprises his role as Gwen's father (Spider-Gwen is technically from an alternate universe, so he could totally still be alive). An additional actress in costume is also used for the actual scenes depicting Spider-Gwen, since Stone obviously has never portrayed the character on camera.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know if you think Spider-Gwen deserves a spot in the MCU.
