Watch: "Super Science Friends" Features Superpowered Famous Scientists Fighting Nazis
Super Science Friends, a humor web series that was successfully funded through Kickstarter last year, has published their first episode free on Vimeo, and it hilariously imagines the most famous scientific geniuses of all time as superheroes, with powers that correspond to their scientific innovations and discoveries:

Super Science Friends: Episode 1 from Tinman Creative Studios on Vimeo.

In the first episode, Marie Curie, Darwin, Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Freud, and Tapputi travel through time to the World War II era to fight nazis, zombies, and all manner of baddies. Marie Curie has the power to control radiation, Tesla can control electricity, Tapputi, considered to be the world's first chemist, uses perfumes to "cloud the minds of men," and Freud can control people's sexual thoughts (he's like the Aquaman/Hawkeye of the bunch). But the best part is the clone of Albert Einstein, who is 14 years old but still has the beginnings of that mustache, and can travel at super speeds because "time is relative."

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

Opening quote
At long last, the first episode of Super Science Friends is here for you to watch! It's been called "Just the right amount of smart, the just the right amount of stupid" by people who know all about such things... It features a team of time-travelling super scientists led by Winston Churchill who travel through time fighting nazis, zombies and all manner of sciency villains!
Closing quote

Unfortunately, the creators say we'll have to wait a while for the next episode, but in the meantime, we can enjoy this free webcomic about the world's first computer programmer, Ada Lovelace:
