NASA Releases Dazzling Image of Blizzard 2016 from Space
The snowpocalypse is coming to the East Coast, but NASA has just released a photo of blizzard Jonas that makes it look like a fairy tale:

The massive oncoming storm is expected to hit the mid-Atlantic region today, January 22, and continue through tomorrow, January 23. Weather reports claim that Jonas could make history, covering Washington, D.C. in over two feet of snow and becoming the worst storm in our capital in a century. The storm has already led to 6,000 canceled flights and caused at least six deaths.

NASA and NOAA are currently tracking the storm with their satellites. This particular picture was taken with the Suomi NPP satellite using the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument's Day-Night band at approximately 2:35am ET today, when the storm was still in its beginning stages.
