New Wearable Gadget Turns Your Skin Into a Touchscreen
Just in case iPhones weren't ubiquitous enough, there's now a new wearable gadget that allows you to access your tablet anywhere, even in the shower. The Cicret bracelet projects an interface onto your forearm, effectively turning your skin into a touchscreen.

The gadget is activated by a flick of the wrist, and uses a pico projector to beam an interface onto the wearer's forearm. Eight long-range proximity sensors turn the interface into a touchscreen, allowing you to do anything you can do on a tablet or iPhone. Working in conjunction with equipment like a memory card, wifi component, accelerometer, and processor, you can do everything from check your email to navigate using Google Maps right on your arm.

The Paris-based project began in November 2014, headed by Cicret founder Guillaume Pommier. After more than a year of development, the company now has a working prototype and has filed patents, and expects to release the first commercial product (to cost approximately $300) in late 2016.
