This Super-Realistic Humanoid Robot Will Haunt Your Nightmares
Hyper-realistic robots have come of several countries, including ChihiraAico, Japan's robotic Geisha, as well as Singapore's "emotionally intelligent" robot, Nadine. But China has just unveiled its first interactive robot, and it just might be the creepiest one yet:

Jia Jia has been (weirdly) described as a "robot goddess"; she can make limited conversation, sync her lips to match her speech, move her eyes to meet a human's, blink her eyelids, and show "microexpressions," like a human. She also complains about looking fat in pictures and calls her creator "my Lord," so she's basically a manifestation of sexist stereotypes (seriously, why are all these uncanny valley robots female?).

Despite her human-like appearance, Jia Jia has a few limitations. She can't laugh or cry yet (which makes her even more terrifying), and the researchers are still improving her artificial intelligence capabilities:

Opening quote
"We hope to develop the robot so it has deep learning abilities. We will add facial expression recognition and make it interact more deeply with people," research team director Chen Xiaoping told Xinhuanet.
Closing quote

Let's hope she doesn't get too intelligent, or she'll probably kill us all, especially after suffering the indignity of calling humans "my Lord."
