Hyperloop Pods Will Be Made From Real-Life Vibranium
Ever since the world got to see Captain America's shield in live action, there's probably not a science-fiction fan alive today who would turn down the chance to hold a piece of real-life vibranium, the substance Cap's shield is made of, in their hands. Now, that might actually be a possibility, as a company looking to create a new inter-continental system of transport has developed a super strong alloy made of woven carbon fiber that they're calling vibranium.

The hyperloop system was an idea that was first proposed by Elon Musk, and if plans for it are fulfilled, it's definitely going to be a huge game changer in transportation. It's meant to be a ground-based system with huge conduits snaking between major cities. Capsules are also meant to be propelled along these conduits at a speed of 760 mph.

Of course, crafting such an invention would require a whole lot of thought to get past the technical challenges. For instance, there needs to be a propulsion system designed and advanced maglev technology would also have to be developed. Likewise, some sort of exhaust system would also be necessary.

The alloy itself is 8x stronger than steel and 5x lighter. It's made by Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, one of the companies that's been trying to make Musk's idea of a hyperloop a reality. It's actually a smart alloy, with thousands of sensors that can wireless transmit information and provide immediate data concerning things like temperature, damage, and structural integrity.

Of course, HTT and the other companies striving to create the first hyperloop still seem to be a ways off from their goal (though not too far off, as the video above says the first hyperloop is anticipated to be built by 2020-2021), and so as of now, the vibranium material is without purpose. Perhaps in the mean time, they'll find a way to use it to develop an indestructible shield fit for Cap himself.
