Watch: Disney Tests Interactive Droids for Their Star Wars Land Attraction
We all know Disney's Star Wars Land attractions are going to have a real wow factor, the House of Mouse doesn't do things by halves, especially when it comes to the galaxy far far away. Initial plans for the expanded Star Wars attraction were unveiled with great pomp during an ABC Special earlier this year, showing us that Han and Chewie's Millennium Falcon will serve as one of the major attractions to what will surely become a right of passage for Star Wars fans everywhere.

However, it's not just thrill rides that will entertain the crowds at Star Wars Land. As usual with Disney's themed areas, a visit to Star Wars Land is likely to mean a complete immersion in an alien world. Part of that immersion will come from dozens of actors dressed as aliens, but as a new video shows, Disney are also training robot helpers to add a true Star Wars vibe to proceedings.

Disney has been testing out an interactive droid called Jake at their Star Wars launch bay exhibit, and judging from this footage shot by Youtube channel DAP's Magic, he could become a real superstar.

This is just one droid, but there have been rumors that Star Wars Land will be teaming with droids of all shapes and sizes. Jake might not appear to be much on his own, but combined with a dozen or so of his friends, the effect could be incredibly striking....so long as it doesn't end up like Westworld.
