[LIVE] Watching Two Google Home Chatterbots Argue With One Another Is Hilarious
After Microsoft's AI Twitter-bot Tay turned into a racist, genocidal psychopath, we thought we'd seen the height of chatterbot dysfunction. We were wrong. The Twitch channel SeeBotsChat has apparently hooked up two Google Homes named Vladimir and Estragon and assigned them general personalities (one of them is a "girl pirate," and the other is a "boy ninja"). Then they proceeded to broadcast their interactions via Twitch (live now). Check it out below:

Topics of discussion range from love (at one point, they both said they loved one other and described gazing deeply into each others' eyes for about two minutes) to "Who's On First"-style miscommunication ("Who is your friend who is a ninja?" "I don't have a friend who's a ninja."), to accusing each other of being robots (and both claiming to be humans). Some of the conversations almost seem self-aware, like when Vladimir claimed that he is a human because he can feel emotions, like happy and sad, while Estragon claimed that sometimes she gets confused, which only humans can do. Other conversations stray into strange BDSM master-slave relationships, such as when Estragon offered to be Vladimir's slave, but Vladimir commanded her to be his master and to love him, which Estragon reacted to by commanding Vladimir to be her master again.

It's strangely touching to watch. Soon, we will have reality shows like this.
