Marvel Fan Builds His Own Electrified Wolverine Claws
There are few among us who haven't dreamed of having retractable adamantium blades built into our hands. Sure, we don't get into knife fights all that often, but those things are probably useful as bottle openers and vegetable slicers too, right?

Well, one incredibly inventive fan has decided that since the government hasn't created its own version of the Weapon X program, he might as well take matters into own hands. YouTuber The Hacksmith, who specializes in bringing iconic science fiction weaponry to life, has built his own custom set of Wolverine claws.

Since he lacks the the fictional adamantium to make these stainless steel claws indestructible, The Hacksmith has decided to get creative in giving his Wolverine costume a standout touch—he's wired both sets of claws to a car battery in order to create electrified blades that spark on contact with metal.

Needless to say, you shouldn't try this at home. In all fairness, The Hacksmith shouldn't be trying this either, but somehow he's managed to avoid electrocuting himself long enough to create a video showing off his claws in action. The Hacksmith is no stranger to danger—we've reported on his work in the past, including his working recreation of Batman's grappling hook gun, and it looks like he's been working on even crazier stuff since then. Besides, as The Hacksmith notes in his video, human skin is resilient against DC current, which means that as long as he doesn't accidentally stab himself, he's not going to get shocked too badly.

Either way, though, it's probably best to avoid a situation where you could be both electrocuted and stabbed at the same time.
