Fox Goes Big With First Trailer For 'Cosmos'

It looks like Fox want to turn Neil deGrasse Tyson into the rock star of the scientific world. The network unleashed their first trailer for their reboot of Carl Sagan's Cosmos at Comic Con this weekend and deGrasse Tyson is not only the host, but the focal point of the whole show.

The trailer borders on cheesy at times, but there are some nice nods to the great man himself, Carl Sagan (see if you can spot them all). The spaceship of the imagination plays a featuring role and we are led on a voyage through just about everything in existence. From the far reaches of space, to the structures that make up life here on Earth, everything looks like it has been created beautifully.

However, this trailer may leave some wondering whether the show will be more about the content or its host. It's safe to say that Carl Sagan made Cosmos what it was, literally and figuratively, but what will happen when another cult figure takes the helm?

Expect Cosmos to hit your TV screens in early 2014.
