Wikipedia Re-Imagined as an Interactive Galaxy, with 100,000 Pages as Stars

If you've ever gotten lost down the rabbit hole that is Wikipedia, then you'll understand the metaphor. Parisian student Owen Cornec re-imagined Wikipedia as a galaxy in his beautiful and fun interactive Wikigalaxy, which represents 100,000 of the most popular pages of 2014 as stars and clusters them into a galaxy that you can explore for yourself:

Although it mostly exists for the visual splendor, it's also a wonderfully intuitive way to explore the internet. Related pages are clustered next to each other, while pages from a specific category all fall under the same color. Every single star is a link to an article, and there are even moving shooting stars to represent bots. The shooting stars seem to just be for show, since I was unable to click on any of them, but the overall site is still fun and informative.
