NASA Unveils New Online Gallery of Over 100,000 Space Pictures
NASA is the home of many of the most iconic images of space ever captured, from Hubble's Pillars of Creation to the Apollo landings to Cassini views of Saturn's rings. Now, all of those images will be in one place for all of us to consume to our hearts' desires, as NASA has just revealed a new, searchable gallery hosted by Luna Imaging that holds all the space imagery we could ever ask for.

"We envision that NASA Images will appeal to space fans, STEM educators, visual resource fans, archive fans, people who appreciate open collections," a Luna spokesperson told Gizmodo. "We've already had some interest in the site from people with GIS and geospatial interests because of the satellite imagery the collection includes."

The gallery combines more than 70 NASA image galleries into one place, allowing users to enter search terms such as "JPL" or "Hubble" in order to navigate NASA's vast collection of space images. If that sounds overwhelming, Luna has narrowed it down a little, as it provides 12 different categories of pictures to use if you wish. These include "Hubble" (above), "Planets," "Astronauts," "Earth," and "Highlights," the latter of which includes the most iconic space pictures from Apollo to

Here are screenshots from some of the most stunning galleries:
