NASA to Unveil Major Mars Mystery on Monday
This Monday, NASA will hold a televised press conference that will supposedly contain a big reveal concerning a recent scientific breakthrough regarding the red planet. This news has many science lovers extremely excited over what the announcement could possibly be. While there have been times in the past when NASA made a big deal over a scientific find that ended up meaning very little to the general public once it was announced, everyone seems to be wondering about whether or not this is the moment we've all been waiting for: the discovery of alien life.

More than likely, however, the announcement will deal with something that could be seen as a stepping stone to the eventual discovery of alien life. For instance, finding liquid water on Mars would certainly bring us one step closer to that goal, and it wouldn't be that much of a surprise to hear that it's been found. There's already a ton of evidence to show that liquid water exists on the red planet, but so far NASA and other space agencies conducting research on the 4th planet from the sun have been unable to actually find any. The discovery of liquid water on Mars would be a huge game changer as it would allow for samples to be taken and analyzed for evidence of either past or present microbial life.

Of course, there is a chance that evidence of life on Mars has already been found, and that's what the upcoming press conference is all about. If so, September 28, 2015 will without doubt go down in the history books as the day that all earthlings came to realize that we're not alone in the universe, and that the possibility of finding intelligent life somewhere in the cosmos is much higher than ever previously believed.
