Watch: Awesome Video Turns Mad Max: Fury Road Into an 8-Bit Video Game
Cinefix's 8-Bit Cinema just turned Mad Max: Fury Road into a video game, and it's absolutely perfect. Because let's be real, Mad Max is basically a two hour-long video game with the Coma-Doof Warrior thrown in there:

The game, like the movie, relishes the vehicles, the adventure, and the cartoonishly bloody violence. When Splendid is thrown out of the car with barely more than an "oops," it highlighted my problems with the film, as that two-second journey with Splendid had about as much emotional impact as it did in the film (plus, this is literally how I'm learning her name. Who knew she even had one?). But the video also highlights what works about the film: the elegant simplicity of the plot, the forward momentum, and the flame-throwing guitars.
