The Internet Finally Cut Jar Jar Binks into the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer
Welp, that didn't take long at all. Just a few days after the release of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer was released, the Internet has delivered on the inevitable, cutting Jar Jar Binks into the trailer that sent everyone into a frenzy Monday Night. Sure, he may be one of the most-despised characters in science fiction history, but this trailer is so well done it actually doesn't make us hate the calamitous Gungan.

"Who are you?"

"Mesir Jar Jar Binks"

Jar Jar Binks may be the titular hero/villain of this trailer, but it's as much a thinly-veiled jab at George Lucas's entire prequel trilogy as anything else.

Loathing for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace has cooled somewhat over the years, but many still hold it up as the poster child disappointing blockbusters. If we had a penny for every time someone compared the hype for Episode 1 to the current hype for Episode VII, we'd have a fair few pennies. Indeed, The Phantom Menace did have one of the best sci-fi trailers of all time, but there's no denying that the positivity around The Force Awakens feels a great deal more substantial than it did back in 1999.
