Jessica Jones Is Done With the Superhero Life in First Full Trailer
We haven't even really had a proper teaser for Jessica Jones, but now we have our first actual footage from the show, and it's just as great as we thought it would be:

The trailer actually emphasizes her superpowers much more than the show did in the pilot screened at NYCC, which is to be expected, since it's billed as a Marvel show. But otherwise, the footage reflects the show pretty accurately, introducing Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones as a cynical, jaded superpowered human who was traumatized out of the superhero lifestyle by her experience with David Tennant's Kilgrave. The trailer explicitly states that he has the power of mind control, which surprises me, as they've been so reticent about reveals so far, but I suppose anyone who's read the comics knows that anyway.

The footage also focuses heavily on Jessica's relationship with fellow Defender Luke Cage, which makes sense, as he features prominently in the pilot and is in the process of filming his solo show right now. We're loving both Ritter and Mike Colter's performances so far, and they have great chemistry together, so we're excited to see where they take that relationship over the course of the series (although, again, if you know anything about the comic book characters, you know how that ends too).

Marvel's Jessica Jones also stars Rachael Taylor as Hellcat, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty and Wil Traval. The entire first season will begin streaming on November 20.
