John Carpenter Is Developing Four New Sci-Fi and Horror TV Shows
< >
John Carpenter, who brought us sci-fi and horror classics like Halloween, The Thing, and They Live, is now jumping on the bandwagon of the Golden Age of television. His wife and collaborator, Sandy King Carpenter, recently confirmed to the Killer POV podcast that she and her husband have four series in the works, which range from sci-fi to horror to sci-fi horror, all of which we like.

Opening quote
"Right now, there's four series waiting to go to network. As far as I'm concerned, we'll do all of them. I mean, they're great, and they're different from anything that's out there, and they again push the boundaries of what's horror. [John] would be directing pilots and we would be executive producing them. There's sci-fi, there's horror, there's one that I guess would be [a] sci fi-horror futuristic kind of thing. They're all across the board. I think they'll fulfill what people expect out of him by also being unpredictable."
Closing quote

There's no word on which networks are considering these shows, or how far in the stages of development any of them are. But considering that Carpenter is a big name in sci-fi and horror, it's probably safe to assume that at least one of these projects will come to fruition. We're most intrigued by the idea of a "sci-fi horror futuristic" show, but that's just us.
