Jarod Leto Reassures Fans He Won't Ruin the Joker
Ever since it was announced that Jared Leto was cast as the Joker in Suicide Squad, he's been met with the most trepidation and worry that we've seen since... Heath Ledger was first cast as the Joker. Look, it's a tough gig playing such an iconic role, and things got even harder for Leto when the first images of his Joker's controversial new look (with his "Damaged" tattoo, et al.) surfaced. But the actor is reassuring fans that he won't ruin their beloved character, and implying that he'll live up to the legacy set forth by Ledger and Jack Nicholson before him.

Leto tweeted out a fan-made meme of Nicholson's and Ledger's Jokers posing together, with the text: "Don't worry, Leto will make us proud." He then later found the creator of the meme and shared it again to his Instagram, writing, "Great work @gaunted! Was wondering who made it! Amazing. I see a few thought It was me but it wasn't. Just thought it was clever sweet + fun."

Hopefully the fan is correct and Leto's confidence isn't misplace, so until we hear concrete evidence to the contrary, we're going to go into Suicide Squad under the assumption that Leto makes for a fantastic Joker.
