New Suicide Squad Synopsis Hints at the Movie's Main Villain
Things have been rather quiet on the Suicide Squad front of late, between Warner Bros. pushing hard on Batman v Superman and wanting to avoid the Star Wars noise, it's likely that we won't see any new footage from the August release until the new year. However, buried in an announcement by DC collectibles about new Suicide Squad figures was actually a ton of new info about the movie, info which came in the form of a new, official plot synopsis.

Opening quote
It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?
Closing quote

Of particular interest in the synopsis is the tease of an "enigmatic, insuperable entity." While this is far from confirmation, it's the latest indication that Cara Delevingne's Enchantress will be the initial target for the Suicide Squad team. Sure, we're going to need to squeeze Jared Leto's Joker in there too, but if we're talking about an "Insuperable Entity", then Enchantress (with all her mystical powers) certainly fits this bill more snuggly. It may well be that it's the attentions of the Suicide Squad that help June Moore, the woman possessed by the Enchantress entity, to harness her power and serve on TaskForce X.

Of course, where, when, and how the Joker fits into all of this is still the number one question on the minds of all DC Comics fans.
