Agent Carter Reunites with Familiar Faces in New Season Two Premiere Synopsis
After a hard-won battle, we finally got our second season of Agent Carter, which is fast approaching now that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on hiatus. A synopsis for the premiere has been released, and it previews more bad-ass action from Peggy, as well as reunions with old friends and enemies alike:
Guest starring are Currie Graham as Calvin Chadwick, Lotte Verbeek as Ana Jarvis, Lesley Boone as Rose, Sarah Bolger as Violet, Bridget Regan as Dottie Underwood, Sean O'Bryan as Det. Andrew Henry, John Gilbert as elderly teller, Kurtwood Smith as Vernon Masters, Edward Deraney as SSR agent #1, Kevin Ashworth as Agent Fisher, Angela Cristantello as receptionist, Bruce Katzman as medical examiner, Alex Alcheh as rookie cop, Matt Braunger as SSR lab tech and Jonathan Lavallee as commanding officer.
Presumably, the "familiar faces" are referring to returning regular cast members James D'Arcy, who plays Jarvis, Enver Gjokaj, who plays Chief Daniel Sousa, and Chad Michael Murray, who plays Chief Jack Thompson. But the premiere will also see the return of fan favorite villain Dottie Underwood, who will likely shed more light on the mythology of Marvel's Black Widow program.
The season will also see the addition of Wynn Everett as Whitney Frost/Madame Masque, described as a scientific genius and an actress in the vein of Hedy Lamarr and Lauren Bacall, who will likely fill the female friendship void left by Angie, and Reggie Austin as Jason Wilkes, a scientist and potential love interest for Peggy.
Here's the official synopsis for the second season:
Agent Carter returns for its second season on January 19 at 9pm ET on ABC.
