First Star Wars: Rogue One Trailer Rumored to Be Attached to Captain America: Civil War
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was just voted the most anticipated movie of 2016, which is amazing, considering that we've only seen one official photo and zero footage. (The power of Star Wars at work.) Now, rumors are popping up that the first Rogue One trailer will be attached to another Disney property: Captain America: Civil War, which comes out in May.

The rumor comes from Making Star Wars, who have been known to release credible rumors in the past (although they got the report from a site called Star Wars Time). It's still unconfirmed, of course, but it would make sense. Rogue One is going to be a huge property, so it makes sense that they would want to debut the trailer with an equally huge franchise.

However, it doesn't make sense that this would be the first footage released from the movie at all. The first teaser for The Force Awakens was released Thanksgiving of last year, 13 months before the film came out, meaning we're already overdue for a teaser from Rogue One. We would guess that a teaser will come out relatively soon, definitely sooner than May, but that the first full trailer may very well be attached to Civil War. The first full trailer may also debut in July at Star Wars celebration, as it did for Force Awakens, though, so we'll see whether this rumor holds any weight.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, while Rogue One is slated to come out on December 16.
