New Trailer Confirms Netflix Release Date for Daredevil Season 2
We may only just be getting over the effects of Killgrave on Jessica Jones, but a new year means a new installment in Marvel's Netflix universe for us all to look forward to. Following on from the resounding success of its first season, Marvel's Daredevil is set to return in 2016, and released this morning, the first trailer for the show's second season reveals exactly when we'll get to return to Hell's Kitchen. Mark March 18th in your diaries, people, because you're probably going to want to clear your schedules and hunker down for a healthy dose of Murdock and Nelson....and Castle....and Natchios.....

There had been rumors that the show's second season would premiere on March 25th, putting fans in a battle of 'Stay in' or 'Go Out' against Batman v Superman, but it looks like the Entertainment Gods are giving us a nice week-long buffer with which to get through Daredevil Season 2 before our trip to Metropolis.

With the trailer also comes a brief synopsis, which teases two Marvel fan favorites who will be coming to the show.

Opening quote
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell's Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt's neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
Closing quote

Jon Bernthal's Punisher is certainly going to be a highlight of this season, but as the first official poster for Season 2 shows, there's going to be a lot going on in Hell's Kitchen this year.

It's clear from everything we know about Season Two that Daredevil and Punisher will be clashing frequently come March, but despite this distinct nemesis vibe, Charlie Cox told Empire Magazine that he still feels as though these are two fellas who have a surprising amount in common.

Opening quote
It's really complicated. It feels like they're sworn enemies, but at times it feels like they could be best friends and brothers. In order to find common ground, compromise has to be made. But that's not the only complicated relationship coming to Murdock's life in Season 2. We'll also be seeing Elodie Yung enter the fray as Elektra, and Cox thinks the dynamic between Daredevil and his old flame is something that many folks out there might be able to relate to.

"I think every man has an Elektra in their past. If you imagine that relationship, a very fiery, very lustful, very loving and hating relationship, and then you add to that two people who know martial arts, you're going to have a very interesting dynamic."
