Hilarious New Banner for Deadpool, the Most Romantic Movie of the Year
If you're looking for a movie to see on Valentine's Day with your loved one, you can't go wrong with Deadpool, the feel-good romantic comedy of the year:

This banner looks so much like a generic Valentine's Day release it cracks me up. And actually, with that wonderfully horrible tagline, "Love never dies," it sounds like one of those cringe-worthy love stories about cancer, a la A Walk to Remember.

The marketing campaign is being cheeky of course, but still, it is a love story in part, and they've been pushing that angle hard. Luckily, this banner is funnier and less egregiously sexist than this "love story" TV spot, which played during The Bachelor's season premiere:

Obviously, women don't need to be dragged by their boyfriends to superhero movies, nor do they need a love story to be interested. But men and women alike can be glad that this is a well-rounded movie, with attention to character and relationships as well as the grisly violence and breaking of the fourth wall that we've all come to expect from the Merc with a Mouth.

And speaking of violence, here's a new TV spot, now with more roundhouse kick:

Deadpool opens in theaters on February 12.
