X-Files Revival: Watch the First Minute of the Premiere Episode
The X-Files premiere is rapidly approaching, and now you can watch the first full minute of the opening episode courtesy of Fox, assuming, of course, that you still want to believe.

The episode begins with Mulder succinctly recapping the original series, accompanied by photos that will give you all the feels. First, there are pictures of the UFOs from his "I Want to Believe" poster, followed by cute childhood photos of Fox and Samantha.

Opening quote
"Since my childhood I have been obsessed by a controversial global phenomenon," Mulder's voiceover says in the video. "Since my sister disappeared when I was twelve years old, in what I believed was an alien abduction."
Closing quote

He goes on to explain that his obsession led him to the FBI and the X-Files, which investigated seemingly paranormal phenomena. He shows us pictures of all of our favorite monsters-of-the-week, including Victor Tooms, Robert Roberts from "Hungry," and, of course, the Flukeman, who unsurprisingly got the biggest nostalgia cheers at the pilot screening at NYCC. He then reminds us of the most important person on the show: Dana Scully, who was assigned to debunk his work but became his partner, both personally and professionally.

Opening quote
"In 2002... the FBI closed the X-Files, and our investigation ceased. But my personal obsession did not."
Closing quote

The X-Files miniseries will consist of six episodes, and will star David Duchovny as Mulder, Gillian Anderson as Scully, Mitch Pileggi as Skinner, and William B. Davis as the Cigarette-Smoking Man. It will premiere on January 24 on Fox. You can watch the full clip here.
