Classic Star Wars Villain Rumored to Appear in Rogue One
Star Wars: The Force Awakens isn't even out of theaters yet, but the Rogue One rumors are already going full speed ahead, and a new report claims that a classic villain from the Star Wars franchise will appear in the first anthology film. I don't know how early anyone is going to get spoiler-averse, but just in case, possible spoilers for Rogue One ahead!

Possible spoilers ahead! (Click to reveal)

Making Star Wars, who got several things right about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, are reporting that the "Darth Vader Dream Team" has been assembled for Rogue One, including sculptor Brian Muir, who created the iconic helmet and armor.

Opening quote
We have it on good authority that the Darth Vader costume as seen in Star Wars: A New Hope has been meticulously recreated to match A New Hope perfectly. By all accounts the costume is so close to the original everyone is very happy and very impressed with the work done by Brian Muir and his team.
Closing quote

Chronologically, it makes sense for Darth Vader to appear in Rogue One, as it takes place between the original and prequel trilogies (so after Anakin Skywalker has turned into Vader, but before he is killed in the original trilogy). According to Making Star Wars, the character will once again be voiced by James Earl Jones, but will be played onscreen by a new actor.

This is still a rumor for now, but it seems perfectly plausible. James Earl Jones recently reprised the role on Star Wars Rebels, which also takes place in between the original and prequel trilogies, which demonstrates that Disney and Lucasfilm very much want Vader to remain a part of the Star Wars universe. Plus, now that everyone thinks Kylo Ren is a whiny, petulant brat, they could use their most classic villain when they can get him.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens on December 16.
