What to Watch This Week: The X-Files, Legends of Tomorrow, A New Suicide Squad Trailer and More

Midseason season is officially in swing, and literally everything premieres or returns this week. The Flash, Agent Carter, The 100, Arrow, and Star Wars Rebels are finally coming back (while Heroes Reborn is finally ending), and we're getting two of the most exciting premieres of the year: The X-Files miniseries and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. But before either of those- a new Suicide Squad trailer!

Here's everything to watch in this eventful week:

Monday, January 18th

Supergirl - 8:30pm on CBS

The Toymaker makes his anticipated debut, and Kara flies around with Martian Manhunter. What could be better than that?

Tuesday, January 19th

The Flash - 8pm on CW

Barry goes up against the Turtle as Deathstorm and Killer Frost make their debut. Meanwhile Iris and Joe deal with the ramifications of Wally West's arrival, and Zoom targets the people Barry cares about, possibly including Patty Spivot.

DC Back-to-Back Specials - 9pm on The CW

Get ready for an entire one-hour special to prepare you for Legends of Tomorrow, which premieres on Thursday, and the upcoming DCEU movies, which will include the premiere of an all-new trailer from our most anticipated DC movie, Suicide Squad.

Agent Carter - 9pm on ABC

Before Kara Danvers or Jessica Jones, there was Peggy Carter, and we're so glad to have her back on our screens for a hard-won second season, now in L.A.!

The Expanse - 10pm on Syfy

The crew realizes they're not alone on the Rocinante and comes up against a Martian military blockade.

Limitless - 10pm on CBS

Brian goes on his first FBI field assignment in a serial killer profiling case, and realizes that the person he's working with may have put an innocent person in prison.

Wednesday, January 20th

Arrow - 8pm on CW

What happened to Felicity? Who's in that grave we saw in the season premiere? All questions will be answered when Arrow finally returns.

Second Chance - 9pm on Fox

Pritchard searches for two murderers who escaped from prison during the power surge that brought him back to life.

Star Wars Rebels - 9pm on Disney XD

Crossguard lightsabers! Ahsoka fights Vader! Ezra is pulled to the Dark Side (but what else is new?). All kinds of exciting things are coming in the latter half of Rebels' second season.

Thursday, January 21st

DC's Legends of Tomorrow - 8pm on The CW

DC's mish mash of Flash and Arrow fan favorites is finally here! We have no idea if this will be anything resembling coherent, but it will definitely be fun.

The 100 - 9pm on The CW

The most underrated sci-fi show on television is back! Between the ongoing conflict between Camp Jaha and the Grounders, the promise of AI hijinks with Alie, and more wars between Clexa and Bellarke shippers, we can't wait for The 100's third season.

Heroes Reborn series finale - 9pm on NBC

It was announced this week that Heroes is likely gone for good after this season, which is sad on some level, but based on Heroes Reborn, good riddance. Plus, this means they could actually end the world in this episode if they so desired.

Colony - 10pm on USA

Colony premiered last week to surprisingly great reviews, and it's definitely worth taking the time to see if this will turn into the true surprise of this season, a la Mr. Robot.

Friday, January 22nd

The Fifth Wave

The Fifth Wave is getting kind of dismal reviews so far, but about what you'd expect for a perfectly serviceable, entertaining Hunger Games/Divergent wannabe. We'll watch this for Chloe Grace Moretz, if nothing else.

Sunday, January 24th

The X-Files series premiere - 9pm on Fox

The truth is still out there, X-Files fans, and even if the series is a disappointment (fingers crossed that it won't be), we'll be ecstatic to see Mulder, Scully, and their flashlights back on our screens.
