Ryan Reynolds Gives a Hilarious In-Character Interview as Deadpool
Deadpool is nothing if not irreverent, controversial, and NSFW, so naturally, when the Merc with a Mouth gave an in-character interview today with EW, he gave a suitably cheeky answer when asked if his mouth is his best feature:
Deadpool hasn't been released yet, but is already becoming known for its vulgar, borderline offensive (or actually offensive) humor, but Reynolds-as-Deadpool insists that that's a misconception, and that this is a misunderstood, family-friendly film.
Deadpool's crush on Wolverine has been well-documented (in this interview, he claims the X-Man "tastes like umami"), but he also expressed amorous feelings for several other superheroes. He named Peter Parker as his superhero crush, calling him "the best member of One Direction," and when asked if he had any tips for fellow Marvel superheroes Iron Man and Captain America, he answered:
But aside from vulgarity and crassness, Deadpool is best known for his meta humor, which was in full force in this interview. First, when asked his favorite holiday, he said, "Alanis Morissette Day" (Reynolds was once engaged to Morissette, and in fact her album "Flavors of Entanglement" was inspired by their break-up). But the best answer, hands-down, was "the last movie that made him cry."
