The Flash’s Andrew Kreisberg Talks About the Possibility of Three Flashes
Season 2 of The Flash has been all about speedsters. It introduced the Flash of Earth 2, Jay Garrick, as well as another super fast baddy called Zoom. Of course, Jessie Quick (the supposed future superhero identity of Harrison Wells' daughter) will apparently come to play a larger role in the show as time goes by and with the introduction of Wally West and the reappearance of the Reverse-Flash, the show is filled to the brim with both speedsters and potential speedsters.

Recently, The Flash's executive producer was asked if there will ever be three Flashes on the show fighting alongside each other - after all, Jay Garrick should hopefully regain his speed sometime soon, and Wally West took over as the Flash for a while in the comics and was the Flash that was featured in the animated series of the 90's and 2000's. Here's what the EW reported about his answer:

Opening quote
Not anytime soon. 'I guess that could happen down the road,' executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says, likening Wally West's journey in becoming Kid Flash to Roy Harper's with Arsenal. 'I wouldn't want to say no, but so much of that stuff is a little bit further into the future than we've planned for right now.'
Closing quote

So it could happen eventually, but how that would work out is still very unclear. It's telling that Wally's path to Kid Flash is going to be similar to Roy's path to Arsenal. That means that he may not actually become a speedster by the end of the season as many were hoping, as Roy was introduced in the first season of Arrow but didn't really become Ollie's sidekick until season 2.

So be patient, Flash fans. Jay Garrick will likely get his speed back sometime soon, and even though Wally may not become Kid Flash just yet, the Supergirl crossover seems to imply that the multiverse is staying open. Jay, Wally, and Barry may one day get to fight together yet, and the thought of what threat would demand all three's attention is just as exciting.
