Justice League Pt.1 Gets a Production Date, And It's Really Soon
Those rumors about Warner Bros. potentially delaying Justice League Pt.1 can probably be scrapped, because it's just been revealed that the studio has set an official start date for production on the movie....and it's really, really soon.

On April 11th, just over a fortnight after we're all recovering from an epic 3 hours of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, production will start on the biggest DC Comics movie of all time. That means we're now just over 48 days away from seeing the Justice League take to the set, which is more than a little exciting for DC Comics fans.

Opening quote
The idea that we could begin to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing," said Zack Snyder via EW. "It was a little bit of an 'about time' moment, and I don't blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it's a long time coming. But I do feel like it's a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, 'Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.' But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist."
Closing quote

Much of that world building will come on March 25th, with many of the Justice League heroes appearing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. One of those members of the Justice League is Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, who has already been seen making a big impact in trailers, and has her own solo movie hitting theaters on June 23rd 2017, just a few months before Justice League Pt.1. arrives in November.

WB's approach to building a cinematic universe will differ slightly to that of their big rivals, Marvel. Where Marvel spent years introducing key players in their Avengers line-up by way of solo movies, DC Comics and WB are flipping it on their head somewhat, by bringing their heroes together much earlier in the timeline. As such, many have argued that there is a remarkable amount of pressure on Batman v Superman to win fans over to the new cinematic universe, and unsurprisingly, reports soon came out suggesting that Warner Bros. was concerned about the movie's prospects and were therefore considering delaying the release of Justice League Pt.1 Such rumors now appear to have been firmly quashed with this latest announcement, and it appears that everything is ticking along nicely in the DCEU.

The Justice League Pt.1 production will be making its base at Leavesden Studios in South East England (home to an incredible Harry Potter experience), with on location sets marked down in and around London as well as in Iceland.

Justice League Pt.1 is scheduled for release on November 17th 2017, while Justice League Pt.2 will hit theaters on June 14th 2019
