Capcom is Bringing Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 to PS4 and Xbox One
Resident Evil is one of the most popular video game franchise's of all time, producing multiple best-selling titles (of varying quality) and almost as many movie adaptations (again of varying quality). However, there's currently not a lot of joy for Resident Evil fans looking immerse themselves in the franchise on the current generation of games consoles. That is until now, because Capcom today announced that they are making three of their classic Resident Evil titles available to play on PS4 and Xbox One.

Starting with Resident Evil 6 on March 29th, Capcom will release three of their biggest hits to current gen platforms over the course of the next year. After Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 5 will bring its co-op fun to market once more at some point this Summer, followed by Resident Evil 4 which will land in Fall.

It's no surprise that Capcom have opted for the reverse chronological release order. Resident Evil 6 was definitely the weaker of the three titles in this particular series, while 4 was undoubtedly its biggest hit. By releasing in reverse, Capcom will likely ensure a bit more buzz and excitement around the project for far longer than if they had opted for the reverse. Personally, I had hours of fun with 5's co-op system, so I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the Summer release.

The games will be available both digitally and in physical disc form for $20.
