Big Hero 6 Is Getting a TV Show
Another Marvel Comics property is coming to television, but he's an entirely different animal from the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The adorable Baymax will soon be waving at you from your TV screen, as Big Hero 6 is getting its own series on Disney XD.

Big Hero 6, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2014, follows robotics prodigy Hiro and his healthcare robot friend Baymax as they form a superhero team to combat a masked villain. The show will pick up where the movie left off, with Hiro attending college at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology and the team protecting the city from "an array of scientifically enhanced villains."

Stan Lee previously hinted at a Big Hero 6 sequel, and considering that it was the highest-grossing animated film of 2014, we would expect that a sequel will still happen. There's been no official word on whether the TV series affects those plans, but we're guessing that the show will be similar to the Guardians of the Galaxy series, and will still leave room for a feature film sequel.

The Big Hero 6 series is set to premiere on Disney XD sometime in 2017.
