New Captain America: Civil War Posters and Images Preview Team Cap
Captain America: Civil War will ask you whose side you're on in a few months, but until then, these new posters and images are falling squarely on the Team Cap side. I'm sure we'll see equivalent posters for Team Iron Man soon, but for now, it's nice to focus on the equality-driven underdogs (except for the fact that they have Scarlet Witch and everything):

In the film a disastrous incident (possibly the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron), will inspire the government to enact a wide-scale registration of superpowered humans called the Sokovia Accords. In the comics, the inciting incident was known as the Stamford Incident, in which an attempt to take down a supervillain goes horribly wrong and kills many innocent people, including 60 schoolchildren. According to Civil War writer Markus McFeely, the movie will helm to the comics, but not completely:

Opening quote
"There will be a Stamford incident but it's not Stamford," McFeely told IGN. "We'll have an incident that will force the governments of the world to go, 'Wait a second. Let's talk about the laundry list of things that we're not happy about. Let's finally do something about that. We think you guys need some oversight.'"

Opening quote
"It plays in an interesting way into some people's, some critics reactions to these movies where it goes, 'You tore down half of New York. Why are we happy about that?' We dropped helicarriers on Washington, DC. You do this and it's great but eventually you've got to go, if this is a realistic world, somebody's going to go, 'Stop dropping helicarriers on my f**king head!'

But if Civil War adheres to the comics, then what about that iconic ending? Will Captain America live to see the events of Avengers: Infinity War? Co-director Joe Russo spoke about the "emotional" motivations of the characters, and seemed to hint at a tragic ending:

Opening quote
"There's an intensity in this film," said Russo. "We dug deep to find motivations that were extremely personal and very emotional to the characters. It's not [personal] for all characters, because like any fight, people take sides and some people have stronger motivations than others, and as the fight gets worse people drop out because they don't have the stomach for it. But we have a couple characters that go to the end and they go to the end pretty hard and pretty ugly."
