New Daredevil Season 2 Featurette Is All About New Punisher Footage
Daredevil season two is only a couple of days away, and Marvel knows exactly what we want to see: Jon Bernthal's Punisher. A new Punisher-focused featurette contains a ton of new footage of the "grim reaper"'s arrival in Hell's Kitchen, which is somehow even bloodier than we were expecting:

In the video, we see Punisher carrying out hits with machine guns, making his way through the city like its "his own shooting gallery," and lots more footage of his initial fight with Daredevil, which either begins or ends with Matt chained up on a roof. We even get a glimpse of the context for Punisher's now-infamous first spoken dialogue in the teasers: "Bang."

In addition to the carnage, which is drastic enough that Daredevil is convinced there's "an army" in town, and Daredevil vs. Punisher action, the video is careful to highlight the philosophical differences and similarities between the two heroes. Matt is quick to condemn Punisher for killing people, but Karen tells Matt that they opened the door for people like Punisher with their vigilantism, and that Punisher "could be any one of us." Frank, for his part, agrees with Karen, as he demonstrates when he tells Matt that he's "one bad day away from being [him]." But more importantly, he just disagrees with Matt entirely, and sums up his philosophy succinctly: "I think the people I kill need killing."

Daredevil season two starts streaming on Netflix on Friday, March 18.
