Is Marvel Working on a Captain Britain Show?
Marvel definitely has an interest in television. They have two series on ABC with another two in development, two on Netflix with three, maybe four, more on the way, and they are showing no signs of slowing down. But this latest rumor is definitely out of left field, as it claims the House of Ideas is working on a show centered around... Captain Britain?

According to a tweet from poster artist Ciara McAvoy, that's exactly what Marvel is doing. She sent out a prototype design for Captain Britain's, AKA Brian Braddock's uniform, writing, "For my 1,000 tweet: Who will be playing Brian Braddock in the upcoming tv series #CaptainBritain? #Marvel stay tuned!

She was then asked to elaborate, and according to comicbookmovie.com she said:

Opening quote
"I am being paid to do the promo poster so yes I'd say this is really happening. It might take a while before the announcement (either early 2017 or late 2016) They're making a sizzle reel and it's gonna be awesome. I can't reveal anything yet but hopefully I'll be able to soon. Waiting for the go ahead from the co-producer."
Closing quote

She also responded to a fan who asked if it was Braddock's own series or someone else's, and she replied by tweeting, "It is his own don't worry. I'm painting The Lady Of The Lake until they have an actor confirmed for Capt. Britain."

So this all sounds... kind of crazy. McAvoy seems quite positive that Captain Britain is getting a TV show, but we're not even sure if Marvel owns the rights. The character is more associated with the X-Men than probably any other group, and even though he's not a mutant, virtually everyone in his stories is (Psylocke is his sister). So we'll have to keep an eye on this story to see if anything comes of it, but if nothing else it's a very bizarre rumor.
