Watch the Making of the Best Fight Scenes from Daredevil Season 2
Daredevil's second season might not have been perfect, but there's one aspect that remains unimpeachable: the fight choreography. A new video sheds light on the production of some of Daredevil's already-iconic fight scenes, and it just makes us want to watch the season all over again:

In the video, Daredevil fight coordinator Philip Silvera spoke to Variety about the choreography behind some of the best fight scenes from Daredevil season 2. It unfortunately doesn't include Daredevil vs Punisher, which might have been my favorite, but otherwise it includes all of the ones you'd expect, including Punisher's prison rampage, Matt and Elektra's apartment fight with the Yakuza, and, of course, that stairwell scene (which is wrapped up with its rough counterpart, season one's infamous hallway fight scene).

It's fascinating to see the "previs," or the full staging of the scene with stunt doubles, and especially to hear the character insights embedded in those fights. Silvera discussed Matt and Elektra's "brutal" fighting style, which is meant to convey that they enjoy hurting others to some extent, while the Punisher's fighting style is more grim and to-the-point. He also states that the hallway and stairwell scenes are intended as metaphors for Matt's arc in the season as a whole; where season one was a "test of his will," season two is his "descent into hell," particularly his questioning of whether he's really become "the devil."

Daredevil season two is now streaming on Netflix.
