Humans Adds Carrie-Anne Moss as a Series Regular
As if we needed another reason to get excited about Humans season 2. AMC's critical darling has just added no less than five series regulars, including The Matrix and Jessica Jones star Carrie-Anne Moss.

According to EW, Moss will play Dr. Athena Morrow, "an expert in artificial intelligence who sets her sights on furthering the technology of machine consciousness already prevalent in the universe's synths." She will be joined by Nashville's Sam Palladio and True Blood's Marshall Allman, as well as Sonya Cassidy and Letitia Wright.

Moss will be busy with genre projects in the upcoming months, as she is set to appear in Luke Cage and will presumably star in Jessica Jones' second season (and could easily appear in any Marvel/MCU outing, particularly Defenders). She will also star in the supernatural horror flick The Bye Bye Man, alongside Big Love's Douglas Smith and Battlestar's Michael Trucco.

Here's the official synopsis for Humans season 2:

Opening quote
"Synth Niska (Emily Berrington) still holds the consciousness code while on the run, but her synth family members - Mia (Gemma Chan), Leo (Colin Morgan), and Max (Ivanno Jeremiah) - have begun to move on and live their own lives. Joe (Tom Goodman-Hill) and Laura (Katherine Parkinson) are still working to heal their marriage, but will become entangled again in the struggle between synths and humans.
Closing quote

Humans will return for its second season in late 2016 on the UK's Channel 4 and in 2017 on AMC.
