Suicide Squad Officially Finishes Post-Production
The two most popular (and arguably the most beloved) superheroes of all time got their go at the box office earlier this year, and sadly it didn't quite reach most's expectations. However, if the most popular superheroes in the world couldn't bring home the bacon for DC, perhaps its time for the most popular super villains in the world to give it a try.

Suicide Squad has just officially finished post-production according to director David Ayer, who says that it's now "off to the lab and then the world."

The claim that there's "nothing like it out there." is certainly believable, as Suicide Squad will be the first real comic book film that's all about the villains. Not only is it a villains movie, but it's technically DC's first ever team-up film as well (some may argue that Batman v Superman was a team film, but there was barely ten minutes of footage of they and Wonder Woman fighting together). All of that means that there's a lot of untested potential for Suicide Squad, but with a guy who's made his career on making movies about antihero team-ups (The Fast and The Furious, Sabotage, Fury, etc.) behind the camera, there's an extremely good chance that Suicide Squad will be everything it's worked up to be.

Suicide Squad is due out in August, making it the last big superhero film of the summer. It's also going to be the last DC comic book film until Wonder Woman in June of 2017. This could be the film that breaks through for the DCEU in a very big way, and it'll need to be in order for a lot of fans to retain their hope in the franchise. One way or the other, fans will know on August 5th, 2016.
