The First Trailer for Syfy's Incorporated Is a Mash-Up of Mr. Robot, Blade Runner, and Many Others
The first trailer for Syfy's Incorporated is here, and it pretty much looks like a mash-up of every megacorporation dystopian cliche, but possibly in a good way:

Incorporated, which comes from executive producers Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, is set in a near-future in which everything has been privatized and corporations have all the power. It has the "lone wolf taking on the corporate system" like Mr. Robot, the urban futurism of films like Blade Runner (the autonomous cars looked especially cool), and the serene/sinister disembodied female voice of pretty much every dystopian movie ever.

But that being said, it still looks like it could be a good show. Damon and Affleck work well together, and some of these types of shows—Mr. Robot, most memorably—seem heavy-handed and silly in the marketing campaign, but then build on everything that's good about the premise and eschew everything that's derivative. Plus, Syfy's been on a general uptick recently, so we have high hopes for this one.

Opening quote
Set in a future where companies have seemingly unlimited power, Incorporated centers around Ben Larson, a young executive who risks everything to infiltrate the all-controlling corporate world and save the woman he loves. In the process, he will take on the entire system — with deadly consequences.
Closing quote

Syfy's Incorporated is set to premiere on November 30.
