Tom Hiddleston Shares First Look at Loki in 'Thor: Ragnarok'
The last two big ensemble Marvel movies, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, were both missing a major character: Loki. Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief was the standout in Thor and The Avengers and made Thor: The Dark World watchable, and his absence in recent years has definitely been felt. But the character is finally set to return in next year's Thor: Ragnarok, and now Hiddleston is giving us our first look at his comeback.

On Tuesday, August 9, Hiddleston posted a photo of himself in costume as Loki to his Instagram. In fact, it's the only photo on his Instagram at all, but really, what more do you need? The actor captions the pic simply, "He's back!" as if we need any further elaboration.

He's back!

Loki's role in the film isn't really known yet. When we last saw him in Thor: The Dark World, he was impersonating his father Odin, and covertly ruling in his stead in Asgard. It's not known how this came to be, but the character appears to have gone full villain again. From what we've heard about Thor: Ragnarok, the film is set to be a cosmic buddy road film with Thor and Hulk, will incorporate some of the World War Hulk storyline, and will feature new villains Skurge, Hela, and Grandmaster. Where Loki fits into this is anyone's guess, but all that matters is... he's back!
