Report: Winter Soldier and Erik Selvig Confirmed for Avengers: Infinity War
Avengers: Infinity War is shaping up to be a huge movie, which may incorporate all of the significant characters in the MCU so far. But even though we know that, very few actors have actually been confirmed for the movie, aside from big players like the main Avengers (except Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, and Vision), and of course, Josh Brolin as "Big Bad" Thanos. Now, we may have confirmation of two other beloved MCU characters in the third Avengers film. One of them is pretty obvious, while the other is not-so-obvious, but equally welcome.

First, a new report from THR seems to confirm that Winter Soldier will make an appearance. It's buried at the end of an article about Sebastian Stan's new film, We Have Always Lived in the Castle, and lists Infinity War as one of his upcoming projects.

Opening quote
"The actor, who recently wrapped the indie I'm Not Here with Maika Monroe and J.K. Simmons, will shoot Avengers: Infinity War early next year."
Closing quote

THR is probably correct, as there's little reason Stan wouldn't be in Infinity War. Bucky is a fan favorite character, and Stan has a nine-film contract with Marvel, so it's likely a safe bet that he'll appear. But still, we should take this "confirmation" with a grain of salt, since THR may just be assuming that he's in it, and is going off of general knowledge about Infinity War's production. There's a chance that they spoke to the actor's representatives while writing this article, but the project still doesn't appear on Stan's Wikipedia or IMDb page, so it's probably just an assumption (although it's also probably true).

And in equally happy news, Stellan Skarsgard recently confirmed in an interview with LRM that Erik Selvig, who is secretly the best MCU character of all, will "probably" appear in Infinity War.

Opening quote
When talking to Skarsgard for his upcoming Norwegian crime-thriller In Order of Disappearance (in theaters and VOD on August 26), he said that he doesn't known anything for sure yet but thinks that it's likely you'll see him in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War, if only to finish up his current contract, although he half-joked they would probably have to pay him more money.
Closing quote

Again, we should probably not get too excited until this is actually confirmed. But we have to admit, it would make us a whole lot more excited for Infinity War if we got to see more of this:
